We are pleased to share further details regarding the Junior Athletics 9U Competitive Program for the upcoming season, including evaluation dates and key information about the season schedule.

This program is designed for 9U players who are ready for a more structured and competitive baseball experience, while still keeping development, learning, and enjoyment at the forefront. It will serve as an introduction to higher-level play and a development pathway for athletes who may continue into Athletics programs in future years.

Program Overview

  • Evaluations will take place in April at our indoor facility, The Shop
  • Based on registration numbers and player evaluations, we anticipate forming one or two Junior Athletics 9U teams.
  • Teams will compete in a new league against other associations, providing increased competition and a wider variety of opponents.
  • The program will focus on skill development, game understanding, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Evaluation Dates and Times

  • Wednesday, April 8, 2026
    4:00 PM – 5:30 PM
    The Shop
  • Thursday, April 9, 2026

Players are encouraged to attend both evaluation sessions if possible. Additional details regarding the evaluation format and what players should bring will be shared closer to the dates.  Players will be evaluated by independent coaches (Park Baseball Academy Coaches).  Any player who does not evaluate onto a team, will be returned to our regular 9U local league.

Season Schedule

  • The season will run from April 27 to June 24.
  • Team activities and games will take place Monday through Thursday each week.
  • Teams will participate in two weekend tournaments:
    • Doc Plotsky Tournament (hosted locally): May 29 – June 1
    • League Championship Tournament: June 20–21

Program Costs

  • In addition to regular registration fees, a small cash call will be required to help cover team-related expenses such as tournament costs and team swag. Further details will be provided once teams are formed.  Fundraising will be used to cover any additional costs.

This program is intended for players who:

  • Have a strong interest in baseball and are looking for additional challenge
  • Are eager to learn and improve their skills
  • Enjoy being part of a committed team environment

Families will receive additional information prior to evaluations, including team expectations, coaching structure, and detailed cost breakdowns.

We encourage families with interested 9U players to watch for upcoming communication regarding evaluation registration. If you have any questions in the meantime, please feel free to contact the association.
