We are excited to introduce the Junior Athletics 9U Competitive Program for the upcoming season. This program is intended for players who are ready for a more competitive and development-focused baseball experience, while still keeping the game fun and positive for young athletes.

Key Information:

  • Tryouts will take place in April. Full details (dates, format, registration) will be shared with families soon.
  • We expect to form one or two teams, depending on registration numbers and the overall skill level of players.
  • Teams will participate in a new league that includes competition against other associations, providing a stronger level of play and a wider variety of opponents.
  • The program is suited for athletes who:
    • Show a strong interest in baseball and a desire to improve
    • Are coachable and willing to learn
    • Enjoy being part of a team and contributing positively
  • Previous higher-level or “elite” experience is not required. The focus is on potential, attitude, and development.
  • This program will act as a development pathway for players who may continue into future Athletics programs as they grow.
  • Regular 9U fees, plus a $25 Tryout Fee.  Once teams are formed, there may be a small cash call and fundraising needed.

Additional details regarding coaching, expectations, commitment, team schedules, and fees will be provided before tryouts to ensure families have a clear understanding of the program.
