Director of Baseball & Operations Sherwood Park Minor League Baseball Association (SPMBA) Full-Time | 38.5 hrs./week

Location: “The Shop” Training Facility About SPMBA SPMBA is a community-driven baseball organization focused on developing athletes through skill development, teamwork, respect, and a love of the game. Our Academy provides a clear pathway from grassroots to competitive (rep) baseball.

The Role We’re looking for a Director of Baseball and Operations to lead all Academy programming, player development, coaching staff, and facility operations. This is a leadership role responsible for building a high-performance, development-first environment aligned with SPMBA’s values:

Development • Accountability • Respect • Community What You’ll Do ● Lead all academy programs (camps, clinics, Fall Ball, indoor training) ● Build and manage player development pathways (hitting, pitching, fielding, catching) ● Identify and develop athletes for SPMBA rep teams ● Recruit, mentor, and manage coaching staff ● Oversee daily operations of “The Shop” (scheduling, equipment, safety) ● Support rep tryouts, community evaluations and team formation ● Report to the Board and execute strategic priorities ● Foster a positive, high-performance baseball culture What We’re Looking For ● Strong baseball background (playing and/or coaching) ● Experience in athlete development and leadership ● Ability to manage programs, people, and operations ● Great communicator and team builder ● Passion for youth development and community sport
